Year 2 is reading the book ‘The Owl Who Was Afraid of the Dark’ and learning about nocturnal animals and their habitats. Yesterday, they had a special visit from Herring Green Activity Farm! They brought along four of their beautiful feathered friends: a majestic Barn Owl, a mighty Mackinder’s Eagle Owl, a Burrowing Owl and a White-Faced Owl.

One of the highlights was when the Barn Owl silently took flight, leaving the children in awe. They also had the unique opportunity to hold one of these amazing owls themselves!

A big thank you to Herrings Green Farm for an unforgettable experience. The children loved every minute and so did the staff!
