Our nursery children have learnt so much about the topic of 'Under the Sea' over the first half of the spring term. They enjoyed the story of The Rainbow Fish. Morning nursery innovated the story and made their own version called ‘The Sunshine Fish’ and the afternoon nursery's version was called ‘The Moon Fish’. They also explored a non-fiction fact file about turtles and made their own version about crabs. Even the staff learnt things they never knew before during the topic! The children love singing and action songs and the children learnt lots of new songs related to their topic.

The children learnt lots of different art techniques, including painting and combining mixed media, sponge printing, finger and hand prints, collage and painting by rolling a ball. Hopefully the children will now be able to apply these techniques in their own self chosen artwork. 

Their fantastic finish was an art gallery to show off all of their amazing artwork which the parents were invited to enjoy. Thank you to everyone who joined us! 

In nursery, they like to find out about special times for different people and the children loved finding out about Valentine’s Day and exploring a Valentine's themed sensory play tray. 

They are now looking forward to their new topic of Transport.
