• Wednesday 8 July 2026 Early Years & Key Stage 1 Sports Day The sun was shining and spirits were high at our Early Years and Key Stage 1 Sports Day. Huge congratulations to everyone who ran, jumped and cheered. Great fun was had by all!

• Friday 19 June 2026 Football Festival 2026 We kicked off the World Cup 2026 celebrations in style with a Football Festival! The children took part in a rotation of football themed carousel activities outside. We were also thrilled to welcome Luton Town FC Community Trust, who brought energy and excitement to the day!A massive thank you to everyone who came dressed in their favourite football shirts and made a donation. All money raised will go directly towards replacing PE and outdoor play equipment.Here are some highlights!

• Friday 5 June 2026 Carbon Champions Programme Our children kicked off the Carbon Champion Programme in partnership with Luton Town Football Club's Community Trust this week!Our mission? Finding creative, impactful ways to make the Luton Town Stadium more sustainable. The children had lots of brilliant ideas. If all goes to plan, they'll be taking their final ideas straight to the Luton Town boardroom!We are so incredibly proud of their passion for the planet and their community!
• Wednesday 15 April 2026 Reception WOW - Visit to Whipsnade Zoo Our Reception children had a wonderful day at Whipsnade Zoo! From spotting lions lounging in the sun to the absolute highlight—watching the elephants up close playing gently and interacting with one another. When the children headed back to school they were tired but happy, with hearts full of unforgettable memories.

• Friday 6 March 2026 World Book Day 2026 What a magical World Book Day we had! We kicked things off with a whole-school assembly before our Years 1–6 students teamed up for a special House Reading Buddy session, sharing their favourite stories across the year groups. The rest of the morning was filled with literary fun, from crafting book recommendation paper chains to making "bookish" fortune tellers. A huge shout out to our "Best Book Characters" who visited the library to collect their well-earned prizes! Thank you to all the staff and parents for making World Book Day such a wonderful experience!

• Wednesday 11 February 2026 Year 4 - Anglo-Saxon Day Year 4's Anglo-Saxon Day was full of exciting learning and hands-on experiences! They began with an introduction to the seven kings who ruled during Anglo-Saxon times, discovering fascinating facts about this important period in history.The children then headed outside to take part in a fun, action-packed game. The aim was to capture the flag from the opposing side without being tagged — anyone who was caught had to spend time in “prison”! It was a great way to bring history to life while encouraging teamwork and strategy.Next, the children tried their hand at traditional Anglo-Saxon weaving techniques, showing fantastic focus and creativity.To finish their spectacular day, they learned how fire was made in Anglo-Saxon times using a stick and a wooden base with a small hole. They were also amazed to watch Harold smelt metal and pour it into a mould to create an arrowhead — a truly memorable experience for everyone involved!Thank you to Adventures

• Tuesday 11 November 2025 Remembrance Service 2025 Today we gathered outside for our annual Remembrance Service. It was a truly poignant occasion, held in front of our beautiful poppy garden, which provided a respectful backdrop for reflection.
• Tuesday 4 November 2025 Year 6 - Visit to The Legend of the Titanic, London Year 6 went on an Immersive day out to the Legend of the Titanic Immersive Experience in London to introduce their new topic 'Iceberg Ahead!' and find out all about how the unsinkable ship sank in 1912. They had an amazing adventure learning about how the ship was built, the people on board, and experienced it for themselves through the use of VR and Metaverse headsets. What an incredible experience! #enjoyment #understanding #empathy
• Friday 24 October 2025 Nursery - 'Spooky' Fantastic Finish! Nursery had a great ‘spooky fun day' as their fantastic finish to their busy half-term! There were lots of fun, spooky themed activities for the children to explore on the day. The highlight of the day for the children was making potions in a cauldron with Mrs Hunt, they all helped to add and stir the ingredients. The children also made their own bubbling cauldron pictures with Mr Bowman.
• Monday 6 October 2025 Harvest Assembly We are incredibly grateful for the overwhelming generosity shown by our school community during this year's Harvest Festival collection. Thanks to your kind donations, we were able to gather a fantastic array of food items to support those in need.

• Thursday 25 September 2025 Year 5 & Year 6 - Multi-Faith Assembly Today our Year 5 and Year 6 children took part in a wonderful multi-faith assembly performed by Khayaal Theatre. The children explored stories from Christian, Sikh and Muslim traditions, highlighting the importance of integrity - recognising when we've made a mistake and finding the courage to turn it into something good.

• Thursday 26 June 2025 KS2 Sports Day 2025 Following on from our previous sports days, on Thursday, our KS2 athletes took centre stage! The children showed determination, teamwork and sheer enjoyment while taking part in various activities and races. Well done to the families who bravely participated in tug of war!!

• Monday 23 June 2025 Sports Day - Nursery Our nursery children had a fantastic time at their sports fun day. Big thanks to Mr Gillard for all his help in setting up and running all the activities and also to our year 5 sports ambassadors who helped us on the day with enthusiasm. The children all had a great time exploring various sports and demonstrated many of Whitefield's values while participating. Thanks to all the parents and carers who came and cheered their children on.
• Wednesday 21 May 2025 Nursery Fantastic Finish - Minibeast Topic As the fantastic finish for their minibeast topic nursery held their annual ‘Ugly Bug Ball’. So much effort went into the amazing costumes that the children came to nursery in. The nursery parents provided lots of food for everyone to make minibeast themed snacks with the children which they really enjoyed making and eating. There were also lots of fun activities for the children to explore, as well as some singing and dancing.
